Hullo my friends, its good to be back here after so long. I have been really caught up with school and i feel rather guilty for neglecting my friends and pushing this for so long. I hope you believe in better late than never.
My 18th birthday was a blast. Even though it happened about 3 weeks ago, i can still remember every single detail. Every second that made me smile inside and outside. I wanna write down every single moment of it.
So in the early morning i headed down to school to complete my silkskreen for alternative processes. Sham came down for to buy me lunch and we headed down to itas to eat. She bought my malay rice and ice lemon tea. She then went off to tuition while i headed to compass point (as told) to see what my friends had planned for me. I was in the toilet about to wipe my ass when nic messaged saying something about dinner the next day and apparently that was part of the plan to get me thinking that they messed up but i swear i was not conned by it! hahaha so i sat down at macdonalds to play tetris while waiting. I was close to beating my high score when sheila called and told me to go home instead! Before that she actually told me not to pick up any calls because fattydarryl threatened to call and tell me their plans. okay so from compass point i went home to continue my tetris when beryl came over
She told me to change into a dress, wear shorts and take my water bottle. At that point i was wondering if i was supposed to run a marathon in my dress so that they can video and laugh! hahaha Beryl then passed me this old school looking classic photo album, you know the kind you peal off and stick your photos then seal with the plastick sheet. Its supposed to hold all my pictures like a little portfolio. There was an envelope and a "clue" about a famous painting being stolen together with this lomo picture i took at my house downstairs inside it. POOF! Ima detective for a day! (i wanted to be one when i was younger)
So i was supposed the guess the location of where the picture was taken and beryl would follow me there and if i got it right, id get my second clue which i did and i was at beryl's second home, hougang mall! When i reached there, the next envelope came with a few of my pictures also (one at taken outside ikea, one at city hall area and another at punggol) so being as idiotic as i could i pestered beryl about which place to go. hahaha she had to repeat to me a few times that in cases whereby there are more than one photo, the clue is in the card. We sat at KFC while i pondered over it. Beryl kept going on about how she didnt write the clue but she knows what it is blahblahblah
ya ya its sjc's back gate! I remember how we used to actively climb that gate to get to toi's place or pon school regardless of how much we flashed our underwear to the surrounding neighbourhood. So when i got there, (location Seng Kang now) Nic took over beryl and the formal told me that she would not hand me my next clue unless i climbed the gate again (in my dress). and only after i obliged did she say that she was kidding and it was not part of the plan. NEVERMIND i really had the time of my life annoying her
Then came this clue,

First thought... second thought, third, fourth, fifth and sixth thought... take bus! I couldnt think of anything else! Nic and i sat down at some random void deck near the back gate where i tried so hard to figure it out and my left brain kept telling me take a friggin bus. HAHAHA and what number? count the number of "round"and i must take bus 8. So i told Nic my theory and she had this face you-are-so-wrong face. I finally figured out after the tenth "take bus" thought that it was referring to the bus stop outside sjc! Recall recall we used to wait for everyone to arrive at that bus stop and enter school together then one fateful day some of us decided that we were suffering from backache so we stood there and massaged one another. Mrs Das drove past, stopped her car a few metres away from the bus stop for a few seconds before driving into school. Next thing we know, during morning assembly, she stood in front of the podium announcing that bus stop is now forbidden to wait for friends. ZZZ ok back to my investigation. (at that point i had found out that two of the suspects had a scandalous relationship)
Off to compass point, where the B clue got me all twisted

Okay so places in compass point that starts with B. That includes burger king ok! The correct answer is the basement four where we sat outside the lifts on the floor to study when we were chased out of the library LOL Sheila then appeared and explained to me B + 4lines. Basement 4 DUH! SORRY I SLOW AND VE LOST MY LIT TOUCH AFTERALL IM NOT THE ONE WHO JUST GOT OFFERED A JOB TO RELIEF TEACH ENGLISH AND LIT IN SJC BY DEBRA TAN OK hahaha anyway cheers to that!
Off to Serangoon with a new escort! In the bus i received the sweetest birthday letter (: Then down plaza sing. Sheila's seat got stolen in the nel. hahaha
We then sat down at carls where i figured the next clue. National Museum! Next escort, Nat, the most anal one. HAHAHA I KNEW THE NEXT CLUE WAS YMCA AND YMCA WAS JUST OPPOSITE AND SHE REFUSED TO JUST ALLOW ME TO MOVE ON TO THE NEXT CLUE. We were behind schedule but she made sure i stepped into ymca. Seriously now. hahaha ok next one easiest. Botanic Gardens, final destination.
We took a bus there and she deliberately made us miss a stop because they were ready. I was completely conned for that one. We saw the biggest ants and heard the loudest crickets. Jeez
When i arrived my friends stood in two single files wearing shirts with either my photographs/my face on them. (koolest shirts ever) I was also greeted by a mass of food spread on the mat in the tent. WOW. The catch, i had to figure my mystery out. Two tries.
Who stole the painting? was it pucky, mary or candy. I just read the whole thing once more and i think i made the right decision to go into design because i still cant figure out why Mary. And i was supposed to reach the final destination at 5plus but i guess i was slower than they expected me to be. (we arrived around 8plus) HAHAHA anyway i guessed the mystery and got it right the first try so we got to eat!
Though melted, Beryl's cake was fantastic to drink. Nat's awesome pasta, yummy hotdogs which er Qi gave a whole new meaning to. And last but not least, my favoritefavourite chicken made by godmama.
